I doubt I can help much.I have a L8D4 Out in the garage I could dig it out tomorrow but I don't know if the info would help or not.It's been so long since i've looked at it I don't remember where the dipstick is located.

I had the same problem with my 392.All the pistons were stuck.Took off all the main caps and then the rod caps.The rod caps took most of a day to remove.I put a bottle jack under the snout of the crank and one under the torque converter snout and jacked it up real slow!Got the crank out without a sc...
