I have a 65 Belvedere that had a poly 318 in it. I pulled the motor out for a 440 which is in it now. Just for kicks I stuck the 341 in it to see if it would fit. I already had a tranny adapter from Hot Heads to stick a 727 on the back of the 341 so I put it on. The car still had the original 904 in...

The 341 has a bigger bore. What is wrong with the 330. If it has a cracked cylinder wall, you may consider sleeving it. These engines are getting tough to find. If there is crank damage, you may still be OK. I have a crank that had to be ground .040" under to clean it up. Bearings that small ar...

The engine is just over 28 inches wide which is about the same as a 426 hemi. The height is about the same as a small block Mopar. Bill

Unfortunately the 241 isn't much bigger than the 3.8 Buick. Fortunately it is a hemi and that usually makes a statement in any engine compartment. The rod journal diameter is only 1-15/16" so custom rods would have to be built if you're looking to make some serious HP. Hilborn does make injecto...

330 overbore and better valve gear.

You can bore the 330 to 345 by going over .080" which is OK for these old blocks. The bore will be 3.800 which is the standard bore of the Buick 3.8-231 V-6. If you want to stay with stock rods just have them magged for cracks and use rod bolts from ARP for the 472-500 adillac. If you want to g...

BAD GAS AND STUCK VALVES

I allowed the gas to go bad in my valiant. Bent several pushrods before I realised it was the fuel. Stabil works good at preventing this problem.

I am interested in your project and have actually tried one of my own for a custom project. It is of the lost wax method and is sort of like a set of Hilborns without the butterflies. I'm in the middle of buying what I need to pour as much as 20lbs of aluminum at a time which would include intakes. ...

I'm putting a 341 into a 67 Valiant. My exhaust system was a nightmare and I went with solid mounts to prevent any engine rocking. The cearances are that tight. The steering box is the issue. I had to remove metal from the passenger side shock tower and move the brake cylinder over about 2". Yo...

315 Dodge

Seeing the bumps on the valve covers this is probably a D-500 with adjustable rockers. It could be a 325 4-bbl. There are still a few manifolds available for this one. Even Weiand made some using the 291 Desoto. It had elongated pads where the manifold bolt holes were drilled for the high block Dodg...

I recently sold a 291 and a 341 to 2 different buddies. Each of them bought Venolia forgings at 9-1. They ran about $525.00 a set. The 291s have quite a dome. I will send a photo of them on request.

My neighbor is doing a 241 with the old Offy 3-duece setup. He got adapters to mount the 4-bolt type carbs from 318s. The Old Stromberg 97s are only 140 CFM each, so unless you're running a bunch of em, they're not worth the time and money in my opinion.
