Re: 73 Charger Hemi Swap (center link stering clearance issues)

just got done installing a quick ratio pitman arm and iddler arm and clearance is good. I think the whole issue here is the oilpan being designed arround the pre 73 B body. they all say it will work with a B body but not a 73 and later B body. that is my theory. Now I have quick ratio sterring and n...

Re: 73 Charger Hemi Swap (center link stering clearance issues)

Well I installed the headders last night and there is plenty of clearance for the quick ratio pitman and idler arm. it is only suposet to move it back 1.5". I think I will go that route to correct this problem even though it is more money (300.00 or so - that has been the trend on this project)...

73 Charger Hemi Swap (center link stering clearance issues)

I am putting a 5.7L Hemi in a 73 Charger. I am using TTI headers and mounts with a Milodon center sump pan. Milodon sais that I should not be having any clearance issues with the center link. Well I have messed with the motor angle and the center link hits the pan only on the pasenger side right wer...

Re: 05 5.7 Swap in 73 charger (power steering questions)

I talked to Jason with CJR Products in NC (336) 766-2710. He is a power steering pump tech for them and rebuilds the crysler pumps to 1250-1350 PSI. the new Hemi pump is at the top of this range. he did not know what the pressure was of the new Hemi pump but confirmed that the stering box can take 1...

Re: 05 5.7 Swap in 73 charger (power steering questions)

Thanks for the info!!!! I dont think my steering box has ever been rebuilt so I was going to try it anyway. I guess now all I have to do is figure out the connections from the new pump to the old box. Where did you get your hoses make up or modified.

05 5.7 Swap in 73 charger (power steering questions)

I have a 73 charger that I am trying to use the stock stering box. I wouold like to use the power stering pump that came off the doner motor instead fo trying to rig up the old power stering pump on the new hemi (that would look weird). the motor is out of a 05 2wd rumblebee. I was told that the 73 ...
