The 354 will be *marginally* easier to do and a better fit in an A-body than the 392. The 331-354's have a lower deck height and thus are just a bit narrower and about 40 to 50 lbs. lighter. It's definitely not a "bolt in" deal and will take some serious work, and fabrication skills - but...

It goes slow. Have got the short block done, and the headwork done. Looking around now for an A727 and various rear end parts and front disc conversion. The heads were a disappointment. The basket case motor came with the heads already done up with big valves(BBC). Trouble was and I didn't know it ...

Newbie

I'm new to this site . I have a little old with the and a little older. I'm building a 68 Dart with a 354 Hemi. I was reading a thread a couple days ago about a 392 swap so I thought i would share. is it practical...... no strictly show and go.
