330 Desoto Main Bearings Needed +.010

Hi everyone. I have called all my usual suppliers for some main bearings for a 56 330 desoto that had to have the crank turned 10/10. Good news is it looks great. Bad news, everyone and their mother has been out of the main bearings for 6 months. Does anyone have any suppliers they can refer me to t...

Car will be a sort of daily weekend driver and bike hauler and need some advice: 1) Hot heads has a tranny adapter but I have to use a 70's mopar starter or buy theirs. I have a perfectly goo...

WCFB CARB SUGGESTIONS

Hi everyone. What do you all think about a stock WCFB carb for a stock rebuild on a 330 desoto S24? Trying to build a reliable, daily driver on a budget and the money it would take to buy a hot heads manifold and have SMI build me a 4 V holley could be used better elsewhere. My concern is the stock ...

Thanks! Well, It's official. I own a hemi. I purchased a 56 330 desoto off of the hot heads swapmeet section from a nice guy in Mississippi. Everything needed for a complete bore and rebuild is available and not too badly priced. Like they say in the B.O.A.T world...Bust out another thousand!! hahah...

Re: 331 HEMI BUILD

Thanks David. The De Soto is different and that's not always bad in my book. Complete rebuild kits are readily available and actually quite nicely price. Take all the old parts out of the internals except the crank and replace with brand new for under $1700 or so, less machining. I know a set of old...

Re: 331 HEMI BUILD

Thanks everyone!

How do you all feel about an S24 Desoto motor vs. a similiar rated (HP, torque and cubic inch) crysler motor?

Re: 331 HEMI BUILD

Thanks David,

Know where I can get a complete 331 with the short bell housing for around $1000 or less? I am interested in quantity if available?

Thanks again David!

331 HEMI BUILD

Hi everyone,

What is the average price to pay for a complete, not stuck, supposedly "runs", 54 331 CE motor with stock 4BBL?

Model 54CE542

What about a 54 331 NE missing intake and carb?

Thanks!

Early Hemi Rookie

Hi everyone. So excited to be introduced to this world. I have been around 60's small block and BB chev's and single cylinder old british motorcycle motors for a while. A month ago I bough a cool 1967 Dodge D100 truck with a 225 slant 6 and 1V and love it. A week ago I was messing around the interne...
