Re: Minimum Cylinder Wall Thickness?

I work part time at an automotive machine shop and I was asking people there opinions on minimum thickness. Honestly for me I think anything less than .200 is not enough for my own comfort levels. I wanted to know if anyone has gone lower and what issues if any that they have. I still have the injec...

Minimum Cylinder Wall Thickness?

I just recieved my standard bore 56 (poly) 331 back from being sonic checked. The lowest number that I have is .194" on a non thrust side down low. I was hoping to take this block out to standard 354 specs (.125 over). Most of my other numbers are in the .250 range. I am looking to make a solid...

Re: Day Dreaming About Induction....

Ok the magazine was Rod and Custom, August 2007. Its more of a picture article, but it still covers alot of the good technical information on it. I will try and get my scanner going. If anyone wants a copy of the article, send me an email. my email address is satelite67@comcast.net . Might take a fe...

Re: Day Dreaming About Induction....

A few years ago, Rod and custom magazine did an article on hiding a fuel injection setup in a false valley tray. I will lookup the article when I get a free chance ( i still have the magazine). They made up 1" think spacers to mount under the injection, where they welded on injector bungs. I li...

Re: Viper 6 speed Hemi?

I know this is an old question...but quicktime makes an SFI bellhousing to put a viper trans behind a BB mopar. Keisler will only deal with tremecs, not the T56's anymore

well i decided to actually pull my heads out and really look at them. It turns out they are casting number 1731528. So it turns out what i was thought were 354 heads are really 392 heads. Will these work or will i have to find some other heads?

need some poly to hemi info

i'm gonna be picking up a 56 331 poly motor in a few weeks. I've got a set of 354 heads, and a hilborn injection for a 392. Will this stuff actually bolt up and work? What are the differences between a poly and hemi? I'm guessing i'll need 354 pushrods, head gasket, and head bolts. Will the injectio...

I know of quite a few racers and street rodders that would be all over the idea of a new 392 block. I know I would be seriously interested. I just got a 354 hemi for a Model A, and I would like to build a Blown 392 for a Front Engine Dragster. I would be happier with a new block, considering the for...
