Use O2 sensor simulators. They trick the pcm into thinking you have functional cats. They can be found all over the place. They usually run about $90.

That is gearing, not engine power. If they set up a street strip gearing, ford would be left way behind.

Well, I went to an admission's place by my house and they said that a real hemi will not pass emitions because of what it puts off from the combustion. That is why the hemi went out of production. They said it isn't a real hemi, and if it was, it would not pass unless it was a class B or C car. That...

Those commercials are hollywood effects, trust me. My 5.9 wouldn't burn out for awhile either, but the computer will change according to the way you drive, and if you have a led foot, give it time and it will peel for a good bit. It took mine almost a year before I could squeek.

Well, I am partially mistaken. I played around with my truck and over drive and down shifting was quicker, but only from 2-1, and 3-2. Once I hit 60 it didn't fair to well. I seemed to got the fastes 0-45 in o/d off and then turn it on right before I shift into 3rd.

Out of curiousity, why would you turn over drive off? I do that and my truck goes slower. I don't have a hemi, but over drive is over drive. As far as I know, over drive is turned off when you are going down hill. Anyways, just curious.

It is rear, and man it hauled butt. 20-60 in like 3 seconds, so much low end torque and pick up, but after 60, not too impressive. That little v6 can only go so far. But it sure was fun as hell to drive, even with the limited visability. And I drove the manual, so it was a little more fun. :)

Chrysler Crossfire...

Yea, I know, it isn't a hemi, but does anyone know if they are going to put a hemi in one? I am test driving one this saturday, and today I looked under the hood and it has plenty of room for one. Anyways, just wish it had a v8 even though it is pretty sweet as is.

Post a sound of the flowmaster on your truck(to leadfoot). And just so you know, inside the truck is a hell of alot quiter than outside, trust me. My friends here me coming over while inside their houses. A good 10-15 seconds before I get there.

One muffler is louder than two if I am not mistaken. Also, talking about your dad's truck would only be relevant if it was the same engine. Bigger = louder, and since I don't know the sizes, I can't really say anything to really good accuracy. You want loud performance exhaust, try SLP with the hi-f...

Do you know by any chance what the miles per gallon is on the 6.1. I wont expect too much if it is just bored out, or a little bigger stroke, but a new block might be nice. Maybe one that is a real hemi, not a semi-hemi.

I have to agree, 100 hp seems a bit steep. On the contrair, the muscle car is slowly making its way back. Maybe 10 years from now 400 horsepower will be close to the average, and maybe all these ricers will go away. All power aside, will it be reliable? I am all for hot roddin, but there are those t...

Dang, that is quite a bit of power. If dodge does that, I wonder what chevy will pull out with to compete. But the fact that this is a non PVO vehicle, will it be practical as far as gas milage. But then again, who knows until you try it.

I couldn't find what your talking about, maybe a direct link? And I read somewhere else that when the 6.1L comes out, the 5.7 will be 320 horsepower and the 6.1 350 horsepower. I hope that they wouldn't make it weaker. Any truth to that rumor?

Tis true, no noticeable horsepower gain, but it sounds more powerfull. :) And I don't know if this is true, but I got an estimate for headers since it makes the exhaust sound a little better, and I was told you run the risk of blowing a gasket. I have heard that from meinikie, another exhaust and br...

SRT-8

Does anyone know if the SRT-8 will be a possible product from dodge in their rams. I know an after market supercharger is great, but I'd want one under warranty. Not only that, you'd get the suspension work with a better transmission, but then again, you never know.

And 13.8, yea, without a bed cover, if you read the other page it ran 12.9 on average with a bed cap. Whoops, wrong again my friend, and since you have been prov...

You will not loose your warranty on anything but the muffler or cat, depending on whether or not you change both. Since your in a truck, and a 4 door one at that, the exhaust system will not be near as loud inside as out. My favorite company for exhaust is SLP Loudmouth. It is basically a muffler th...
