It is very possible for this motor to use a "hemispherical" combustion chamber, for two reasons, one no Hemi truly has a hemispherical chamber (a COMPLETE half of a sphere) they have more like 25% of a sphere or so and the 426 had less than the older motors, two, I had a Jeep J-200 (1964) ...

the infamous Hemi? sure about that?

 I believe that a look at a good dictionary will inform one that the word infamous is used in a negative sense and is not complementary to whatever is so named, in other words you don't want to become infamous for anything! Famous on the other hand is positive and complementary, and I feel doe...

What you always get in these discussions is alot of views from the extreme ends of the issue and fewer from the middle, for maximum horsepower possible go buy a top fuel 500 inch hemi with a whipple charger and tip the nitro can, for a daily driver that looks good put a chrome kit on your 318 2-bbl,...

I have had 3 354 hemis and still have 2, one is a runner in a 1958 dodge semi tractor with 19,000 certified miles on it. As to how good they are, I used to work with a man that ran a slingshot dragster in the 1960's with a nitro-burning blown 354. while talking to him about these engines he claimed ...

I have successfully ran dual fours on big block MOPARS for years in long ram setups with two Thermo-Quad carbs, iron single planes with carter afb's, and Edelbrock dual plane with carter afb's as well, I have never expierienced less gas milage either, however, I never ran the progressive linkages ei...

The '56 desoto hemi's and my '58 354 in my '58 dodge semi all had the Carter Ball&Ball 2bbl. as for a picture of one it would be awhile on that, but the same carb was also used on 318 poly and LA motors well into the '80's (untill lean burn came out) so you should be able to get one from a scrap...

392 crank

Once, at the MOPAR nats I talked to a man with a willys that had a 392 blown nitro motor in it and had been running since the '60's he said it had the stock crank in it at over 2500 hp and that they NEVER HAD BROKEN ONE and that's on nitro methane with ALOT of boost. I must have had a funny look on ...
