Greetings Down-under. One hp per inch is easy, 500 is attainable but it will not be a grocery getter package. The biggest stumbling block is the cost of the parts to make big numbers. We simply do not have the plethora of parts that are available to other engines such as the 440 or the 426. Example;...

Let me add one more option. I also make TF adapters (since 1980) except that mine are steel instead of alum. Steel only adds a couple of pounds to overall weight.

You are compressing less 'stuff' into essentially the same size chamber. There is some variation in combustion chamber volume, ranging from 105 cc up to 112 cc (as physically measured in our shop), but with a whole bunch of chambers at 108 cc in what appears to be stock configuration. This is for al...

354 overbore

Stay to the 4", but remember, if you plan to use std bore 392 pistons you will loose about 1. of compression due to a smaller dome volume.

Greetings, Like you, I think that it would look better with the ps down low on driver side, alt above the fuel pump and the a/c pump in the old generator location. We have made some 'one-offs' of these pieces but, unfortunately, there was little demand so we did not keep patterns. I do recall that t...

why not just pull water out of the intake rail?? most intake manifolds have enough room to sink a ½ npt fitting into the round port. also, keep in mind that with the ind head you have to 'shrink' the tall centre port or modify the manifold to cover it. we have had good luck putting devcon into the ...

Greetings. The usual problem with swapping transmissions is the length of the input shaft. The bolt parttern is easy to change and the bearing retainer hole can be bored out or a reducing collar can be installed. But in the end, the splines have to hit the disc and the end of the shaft needs a suppo...

392 vs 361

First off, the 361 is a B engine so there is no way to bolt them up. There were plenty of Plymouth 301, 303, and 318 assemblies so a 'flite from a 59 should be a 100% bolt-in. If you want/need, a small block TF up to '62 will also bolt-up in similar fashion but other items, ie, shift linkage, may no...

Early Hemis are an easy fit into B&E bodies. Some basics: install engine with adapter and trans, and mount trans to stock cross member. This will give lots of clearance at firewall and give location for front mounts. Use small block mounts for same car and space them forward on the block. Some addit...

426 flywheel on early cranks

Fred, good news !! You can use the 426 wheel, but cutting a counterbore to register the new wheel on the old crank may leave the centre of the wheel a bit thin. More good news...I make a 'spacer', or call it an adapter if you like, that only moves the flywheel about 0.090" to the rear. It slips over...

I make a small, tidy mount that allows for the use of a horizontal mounted 'biscuit' type bushing, similar to the phord phlat head mounting style. industrial 315

The Dodge was not used in industrial applications. There were only a few differences in the Chrysler 331-354 between Ind and pass car and make excellent starting point for hot rodding. Truck engines have alot of quirky things that are harder to live with but can be done as many members will attest.
