Dodge bails on NASCAR

No one was going to run them next year anyway. Fiat factor? Of course all they have to do is replace DODGE decals with FORD decals... :D :o

Re: DeSoto Adventurer II Should Have Been Production

In '54 the Corvette was a I-6 power slug. Ford also had a Euro look sports car prototype that was Y Block powered. Wonder what could have been if they could have made these cars.

Re: NEW MEMBER / OLD HEMI

If you have a filtered air inlet up top you should rig up a PCV valve in the tube, unless it's so low, close to the oil that it'd suck oil. If so use that for the inlet & put the PCV up top.

Re: NEW MEMBER / OLD HEMI

Hot Heads sells remote thermostats for that situation. www.hothemiheads.com crankcase breathing: Is the inlet in the oil cap still being used for letting air in? Depending on how the breather you have was done, you may be able to run a PCV valve in it & run a line up to the carb, or replace/mod ...

Re: pistons and cam selection

On a 392 the C/R is good, even if it's a little lower than advertised, so the cast replacement pistons are fine. If I had a low deck Dodge or DeSoto with low C/R it would be an intirely diffrent matter. a 241 with nominal 7-7.1:1 measured out @ 6.19. :o Custom forged to what you need on something li...

As was said about engine size, if you don't have a list of casting numbers & use codes, post them here & we'll tell you what you got, unless your sure! :D A 10:1 hemi can run on the same octane that a 9:1 wedge does, should be good. Part supplyers: Quality Engineered Components, TR Waters, H...

He's just saying too many want to do a max bore where in most cases they can't tell the difrence between that & a .030 job. Was your block one with 331 casting # or 354 casting #? can't recall.

Re: 331 Cylinder thickness

I am waiting on a correct size transducer for our sonic tester to test cylinder bores. We have the smaller transducer now, but it is for cylinder head ports and does not give a correct reading for bores. If there is any interest, I will post some numbers for my 56 331. I plan on boring to 354 STD b...

i have a junk 241 with usable heads and a good 325 with no heads, will the 241 heads work on the 325? i know the heads will physically fit and i know about the tall deck low deck stuff, but what i am asking is if the 241 heads will flow enough to feed the 325? is this a real concern, or am i just o...

You probably need photos to see if they were dropped in still silver or if they might have been repainted some other color to be sure of corectness.
