Anyone know what these might be from? It sounds like the intake is dated 10/29/54.
That's the casting I was given from the intake, I'm asking if there was a missed # that
would complete the intake casting to 7 digits.

I'm hearing that it could be a builder's stamp from a previous rebuild.

'56 uses 12V starter (also 146 tooth flywheel)
'57 to '58 use 12V starter (172 tooth flywheel)

I don't think extended or non-extended changes anything.
I recommend a mini high-torque starter from Hot Heads.
