Re: 5 old hemi's
That depends. If you buy an old Transdapt or Offenhauser adapter from ebay,or wherever, you will prob. need it.And you will prob. be restricted to using the orig. 1950's starter. Why not use an A833 Mopar 4 speed?Tom Waters maks the best one imo,and you can use stock sheet metal, later starters, and not...

Re: 5 old hemi's
The "engine mount plate" fits between the engine and transmission. The crankshaft flange
extends out far enough from the rear of the block to use a bolt and nut to fasten the flywheel/flex plate to the crank flange, hence the spacer plate. It also provides a way
to mount the starter.

Gasket not required.Just look at the block. If it doesn't have the head bolt bosses
in the upper valley area next to the deck,it's a wedge.

I just saw one that WWW.vintage v8.com is making. Also,Tom Waters can convert a 2bbl. to a 4bbl,like Sonny at RACING STUDEBAKERS does.

I've used both Transcrap and Wilcrap products. Both are junk IMO.Get adapter from Tom Waters and you'll have no problems.

From personal experiance,I don't like anything Wilcrap makes, and also the opioion of some others.I used Tom Waters adapter, excellent fit and finish, and uses stock sheet metal parts, wich others don't.Pay the extra $ and you will be satisfied.
