Why not check with Goodyear or Mr. Norm directly ? If it came through either place they may have old paperwork or someone may even remember the car.

The "other " Hemi

Does anyone have a photo of Oldsmobile's Hemi? I remember seeing a photo once but can't remember where.

The cam in my 528 Hemi is a little bigger & I'm running a real loose converter but streetability really wasn't a concern. IMO, it's kinda big & I'd use a higher stall converter but if it's only a weekend "toy" car I wouldn't lose much sleep over it. I had a much bigger cam in my pr...

Given a new S/S is only a rumor & except for the 392 mentioned in the newsclips, how would YOU build a factory S/S car. Remember this is 2007, it has to use production pieces & be generally availible to the public & easy for the factory to build. Me? I'm thinking the 6.1, 6-spd, 4.10 gea...

Aside from the Olds DRCE engine there never was an engine made FOR drag racing, Chrysler's Hemi included. That too, was a stockcar engine initially but proved its worth wherever it went. It would've been interesting to see what would've happened if NASCAR had allowed the SOHC motor & then eventu...

Having seen the car & spoken to the owner I could see 600-650hp. It was basically a "stock" Nascar motor (circa mid 60s) with the crossram added instead of a bathtub manifold. They fired it up at the car show and it really wasn't all that radical sounding. Powerful, yes, but considerin...

I had the privilege of seeing the car & talking to the restorer here in Phx where I live shortly after the resto. His opinion was that the car made somewhere betwen 550 & 620hp but no one really knew for sure as the car was too powerful for the availible drivers (back then) to really push it...

An interesting point of view. However, nothing succeds like success & it's simply a matter of record Chrysler's Hemi has ruled the roost in drag racing. Now don't get me wrong, I love all makes (I actually race a Chevy in S/C  ) but the fact is wherever the Hemi showed up & was SERIOUS...

"inglese" might be able to help. They have all sorts of weird Weber set-ups. For the money involved you may want to contact Hogan's Intakes & see if they could make you one.

Thanks guys, guess my chassis builder mounted the engine just "off" enough to maake it a problem. I cut a panel out of the inner fender, flattened it & re-installed it. It now offers just enough clearence to make it. Not exactly how I wanted to do, so I'm thinking of getting rid of the...

If they're plain black rims, it's possible they came off a '68 package car. I recall reading since those cars were strictly racecars the factory shipped them out with plain old rims but supposedly they had some sort of different offset or something so they could fit on the a-body with the relocated ...

I saw the car years ago at Englishtown. This was during the closing days of Mopar's involvment with P/S so they really weren't used much. The car, as I recall was built by S&M & Don hardy Racecars in Texas. They had the usual P/S tricks done to them but oddly enough a fairly stock front-end....

valve cover clearence in an a-body

So I stuffed my Hemi into a '68 Dart, hammered the fender panel, etc. etc., got the engine in place (evenused the stock crossmember) and everything fit fine---EXCEPT---now I can't get the Stage V valve covers off 'cause it seems the new factory crossram hangs to far over the valve covers to let me li...

A NEW S/S Hemi?

I just heard Chrysler displayed a "S/S?" Challenger at the SEMA show. It apparently has a crate 392 Hemi (an upcoming engine) putting out 540hp. The picture made the car look pretty spartan (typical for Mopar) so I was wondering if it was a possibility. I know liability issues will crop up...

I realize this is primarily a Mopar page does anyone have a picture of Oldsmobile's Hemi? As I recall it came about sometime around 1970 at 455 cu. in.& was never produced but was just an engineering exercise. A friend thinks I'm crazy BUT I know it existed. I just can't find any pictures. HELP!
