How much do the heads flow, what are the cam specs, what manifold are you using, how fast do you plan to turn the engine, what size are the headder tubes and collector, what trans in car, and how much does car weigh? The fuel delivery system is also a component in feeding the beast. All these affect...

You should be able to bore it to 4.00 bore, that is 62.5 thousands over, to be safe sonic check the block.

400HP is well within the output power range of the engine with the correct compression increase, cam, head/valve work, intake and exhaust manifolds, and carb.

Some guy in LV NV was making Cf parts a couple/few years ago, for Chryslers.

He told me he had lots of interest but no one would pay the prices he needed to get to make them. He made 1-2 sets and ended up selling them at no reserve on eBay, got 600-700 for them, then quit.

they are not interchangeable, Mallory uses different components than Chrysler.

You may be able to get the entire dist converted if you want to rebuild that old dist. Cost would probably be more than a good used newer unit.

I use a small tank built into a stand that sits on top of the Hilborn units stacks. It gravity feeds a barrel valve, feeding 8 individual lines, that drip into each individual stack. I can adjust the flow with a shut off petcock. Like the sprint car guys use, or when I don't have it handy, a Zep spr...

Do you know where these block mounted parts are available for 392s with Nicson mounts?

The Nicson mounts take up most of the lower space.

I always used the distributor Hilborn drives and they are not below the fuel tank.

If you convert it to use in an automotive application you will need to find one of the very early timing covers to cover the 2 lower water holes and have the crank welded to put a timing gear step on it.
