Need help decoding hemi heads.

Post by Suepar »

I have a set of hemi heads with the following cast numbers: C.9.6 2780559 CWC1 and B.24.6 2780559 CWC2. What do these numbers signify? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

The 2780559 is the standard street hemi head. The CWC is the foundry I believe it is Campbell-Wyatt-Campbell the 1 and 2 might be the shift or the mold number. The C.9.6 and B.24.6 I believe are the date codes. Not entirely sure on this but I wanted to put some other info on here for you.
