complete 354 Hemi, can't decode

Post by 2nd2ja »

Trying to decode my 354 Hemi.

Front pad reads M354-2694. It's not Marine (has all brackets, manifolds, fan, flywheel, pressure plate, etc.) and I don't think industrial. Intake 2V reads 17358755-1 with a date of D -24 -8 (or 6) hard to read. Carb is holley w/ 56 code stamped many places and a 1252 Crysler model #.

Exhaust manifolds read 1536377-2 (12-16-56) and 1539377-1 (6-27-56)
Water pump has 1437 or 1484437 4 MM on it.
Generator has a 56 date.
These codes don't match anything I've seen.
Probably a truck Hemi, but it came out of a car. It has 'Power Giant 354' on one valve cover.

Also have a 4V intake 1537723-1 can't find info on.

Please help and thanks.

The M354 indicates a 1959 354 truck engine, the 1536377 is a desirable 4 bolt ex man for 55-58(?)trucks & the 300, you sure that other one is 1539 & not 6?

The 4 bl intake is a scarce one for the 270 low deck dodge hemi, also fits 241, & the plymouth 241. 259, 270 polys

Thank you so much.

Yes, I may have misread the other exhaust manifold- i was upside down when i was trying to read it. But the 4 bolt exhaust manifolds are neat looking.

The 2V intake on the Hemi- still having no luck finding out what it is. I'm pretty sure it reads on 8 not 6, but numbers can be so hard to tell even on clean blocks.

The 4barrell is a low deck version- would it work on the hemi 354?

The 4 bolt mans are the best flowing OEM mans made. Intake..No! Low deck Dodge fits low deck Dodge & Plymouths(made on Dodge blocks) only.
