Help ID this 426 Hemi

Post by scottm »

I would like to help a visitor named Mike decode a 426 Hemi.

The block casting is 2468330-1 with a date casting 9-30-68.
The pan rail has the stamp OB295961. On the underside of
the block on a small pad on the underside of the lower mount-
ing ear for the starter is stampled 3-69-2 F 4161288. On the
top of the block on the pad next to the distributor is a T W.
The engine has A990 aluminum 1965 Super Stock heads.

Mike is curious about the history of this particular 426 Hemi.
Can anyone help us with some more information, please?

Mike just sent me an email that the Hemi has been
identified. The engine originally was in a '70 Cuda.
