IMO this would be an excellent mod. The Hemi makes power in upper rpms. The 4.56 gears would propel you to these rpms quicker. I believe their is only a 300 rpm increase at 70 in OD. Noticable but still very streetable. Their should be no negatives to this mod at all.

Hmmm, Yes you could lose MPG with the 4.56 gears since you'll want to keep your foot in it more. You may also notice a difference on a long trip at freeway speeds. However I have heard reports of people not lossing any gas mileage and evening reporting some gains due to the engine being in it's powerband more often and not having to work so hard.

IMO DO NOT mod a vehicle if you care about MPG. A lot of mods like headers, air intakes, etc. can help your MPG... but only if don't take advantage of the extra power.

I've been seriously thinking of putting in a 4.56 in my truck. Its a dawg off the line, and I think it'll help when towing.

if you will notice, the HEMI isnt really all that stout below 2000 rpms....i dont know why, but its sluggish down low. 4.56s will remedy most of this problem by getting you out of the basement faster.

It is the auto. I don't have a problem with the 5-speed manual.
