Mods on a 2004 5.7 with 4K miles

What simple Mods can I make to my 5.7 to maximize HP?

I would like to be able to gut the cat, have seen a bunch of chips on ebay for my engine...I just dont trust ebay for my engine chip. When the new one comes out in may I am hoping to get it.

My goal is to break 14 in the 1/4. But I also pull a 32 foot RV. So its a work truck that I want to have fun in when im not working it.

Like I said its an 04 model. Quad Cab 4x2 17inch wheels. 5.7 Magnum Hemi !!! I love it but want more HP.

I have read that the Hemi does not like backpressure, so that tells me to gut the cat and drop some headers and duels. What kind of improvements are people seeing with a K&N air system or just removing the stock filter completely? Anyone?

the best bang for the buck on a 04 is a programmer...Hypertech ll, then headers and last a CAI.
