What year is your truck?

I believe the very early Hemi's did have issues with valve spring breaks.

Did you do any further damage?
Ie to the head/piston etc.

Same thing happened to me. 2004 Hemi Ram with 39,000 miles. Service Dept. couldn't explain why it happened.

I had a 03 RAM prior to my current 06 Charger. That was a problem with the 03s and I'm not sure if it carried over to other years. From what you said it appears the problem is still there with valve spring breakage.

It was a very well know problem w/03s 5.7 Hemis and I believe there were TSBs on the issue.

Look to see if there are TSBs on this issue for your make/model.

Good luck!

my truck is a 2004 hemi with 22,000 miles on it and also broke a valve spring. im really dissapointed because i hardly drive it,and now im worried about the other valve springs breaking, especially if they break after my warranty expires, does anyone know why this happens and what can i do about it so i wont worry so much.
