Priming a 6.1 hemi
I have a 6.1 hemi that has been sitting for a year and a half. Does anyone know of a way to prime the 6.1 before starting it?

If you're talking about priming the oiling system then pull the spark plugs and crank it over with no compression. That's the only way to do it since the oil pump is driven by the crank snout.

Use external pump and send it throught the oil pressure sender hole.
On a new engine it takes 1.5 qrts to get oil to fill the lifters.
I use a small block oil pump and a drill. I have less then $30 in the set up plus some time.
I see this is an old post. Just thought I'd share.
