ok while watching tv i saw an f-350 comercial. wht it said is it had the most torque and towing in its class. is this true if i remember correctly didnt dodge just make thier cummings desiel produce 600 ft-lb

? and dont they have the best towing? wht class is the ford in then.

They all say "best in class". The definition for "class" varies based on what the manufacturer wants the class to be. It's all marketing hype. The term "best" is subjective when it comes to advertising. The consumer really has to do their homework to compare apples to apples. Seems like the manufacturers compare apples to oranges, only they don't say that's what they do.

I saw the Ford commercial in which they tow 32 friges. That's for the 4x2 F350 desiel with an advertising towing capacity of 13,400 lbs. My 1500 4x4 quad cab is rated for 1200 lbs more.

Also, ever notice the commercial shows a 4x4, when the fine print says you can only do it with the 4x2.

I said rated for, I've never towed anything so I don't know what it can really tow.

I wouldn't worry about Ford even comming close to the Dodge Ram's capabilities. The whole company is a "country mile" behind Dodge when it comes to doing trucks anyhow. They came out with the new F-150 just to compete with the ram anyway.
