Tod Weston drops $500K on fastest Rolls Royce: 1970 Shadow model with turbo-charged Chrysler Hemi
http://www.nydailynews.com/money/2010/0 ... world.html
Florida lawyer Tod Weston dropped an estimated $500,000 on this 1970 Rolls Royce Shadow with a turbo-charged Chrysler Hemi engine under the hood.
The flashy sedan now boasts 1,350 horse power and has a nitrous oxide system in the trunk to make it accelerate even faster.
The article says "turbocharged" but from what I have gathered it is a
fuel-injected 572 Chrysler Hemi w/ nitrous and BDS 671 supercharger.

I'm guessing he's not a cheap lawyer to retain? 8)

Whether its a local cruise night or a national car show, we've all seen many different combinations. Show cars. Race cars. Cars that show and go. Big blocks in small cars. Even Brand X engines in Brand Y bodies. At the 2011 HOT ROD Power Tour stop in Cocoa Beach, Florida we saw.....well....ya just have to see it to believe it!

We have to admit that once in a while we can be a little jaded working for a publisher of car magazines. We think we've seen it all. Luckily though, we can still be surprised. Take for example this Ray Barton-built 572 ci blown hemi stuffed into a Rolls Royce. Ya, thats right.

This 1970 Rolls Royce has some serious muscle stuffed under the hood. Well, under isn't the right word but you get the idea. If the laser-engraved stainless steel dash card--ok, dash plaque--is accurate, then 1350 hp gets the luxury car up to speed in a big hurry. The hemi is not only blown but has a 500 shot of nitrous to help it on its path.
