Manuals?

Post by David Bemis »

Is there anyone selling manuals out there? I would love to find one for the Dodge 270, also a parts manual/catalogue? Thanks.

Hello.

My name is Aliyah. I’m a Marketing Representative with the Dodge Information Center.

I know you asked this question awhile back, but I just came across your posting here so thought I might be able to help. Are you still looking for manuals? Let me know, I might be able to assist you with this inquiry.

Thanks,

Let us know if she comes up with anything usefull, usually you find manuals at swap meets. The Mopar produced "Hemi Engines" is mostly 426 info, :( early Hemi stuff is reprint of shop manual pages on the Chr. Tex Smith's Hemi Book has some stuff on Dodge & Desoto, but is still sparse.

George,
Aliyah referred me to Bishko and The Tech Authority (which passes you on to Bishko.) Bishko's number is 1-800-544-3312. What they have is the service manuals for the given years. These supposedly will cover just about everything including a tear down of the engine and were what was sent out to the distributors. I will order one and post back once I get it.

Shop manual will get you through the basic rebuild. U might want to get Tex Smith's Hemi Book from Hot Rod Library. There is some Hemi build info (Chr & Dodge) @ webrodder.

George,
I have Tex's book which is great, but it is a bit general and I am hoping the Bishko manual will give more detail specific to my 270.

Aliyah,
Thanks again for the heads up to Bishko. If I need any other info I will take you up on your offer of help.

Yours truly in Dodge,
David
