I would very much welcome discussion on this question: Do hemi engines have domed pistons as well as domed heads. I know regular engines use domed pistons to increase the compression ratio. So I was curious if they are also used in hemi? If so are they domed to the same extent as regualr engines, or even more so? I would think to increase the compression ratio in a hemi to the same extent as in a non hemi engine, it would require even more of a domed piston. Also, do sany stock hemi engines (like the old 426) have domed pistons?
I would also love to have a closeup picture of a domed hemi piston if someone has one. Thanks in advance for your expert opinions:P
Do Hemi engines have doomed pistons or just domed heads?

The 426 Hemi has domed pistons and domed combustion chambers. I am not sure about the new Hemi. Check out www.hemi.com for some info on all of the Hemi engines that Chrysler built.

Hi guys, think about it. Old guys with hemis have domes. Young guys with rat rods have flat tops. Later..............
