426 HEMI in 65-66 FURY III

426 HEMI in 65-66 FURY III
Hey guys, new to this forum. I was wondering if a 426 HEMI would fit in a 65-66 FURY III. It would be replacing a widebolck 318. What kind of mods would I have to do? (K-member, suspention) Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe

Awhile ago I remember looking at a Sport Fury of somewhere
around that vintage, and found that at least the right motor
mount (if not both) were different on both the frame and
even the mount pad on the block was cast differently.
Don't remember why.
No doubt you'd need custom mounts, and probly heavier
torsion bars for starters. The engine bay should be wide
enuf, so ???
