Advice for low end Improvments

Hey all. just want to say hi. this looks like a descent chat area for those of us that are lucky enough to own a 03,04 or 05 Dodge Ram hem. I just purchased my 05 Ram in late December and have about 2035 miles on it to date. The only thing I've done so far is change the stock paper air filter to a K&N. I'm thinking the next move will be hypertech's best programmer has anyone with a 05 Dodge Ram already done this and if so would you recommend spending the money to do so or is there a better company then Hypertech? P.S. my truck is running the full-time transfer case plus 3.92 gears. I really want the gain to be in the low to mid rpm range and I don't want a loud exhaust but if there is a system that adds power at low to mid rpm's and is not overly loud please Aso has anyone done a shift kit on the 2005 speed automatic. let me know about that as well.
