426 HEMI HEAD CASTING DATES
I HAVE TWO 68 426 HEMI HEADS WITH THE NO. L 4 6 & THE OTHER HAS L 6 7 ON THEM. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THEY MEAN. THANKS MOPARMAN528

The L stands for Dec. the other dates are the day and the year. So it goes month,day,year. A-Jan. B-Feb all the way down to L-Dec. next is the day,next is the year. Not all hemi head have a casting date on them.In 1963-4, heads that would of been put on a 1964 Car seldom have a casting dates.
