Hello from a first timer.
just recently joined to get some help , advice , news and hopefully support to swap a 5.7 liter into my '73 Swinger.
Would appreciate any help on the above.

Welcome to the board, sounds like an interesting project! Be sure and take pictures as you go along with it. You might post this in the New 5.7-6.1-6.4 Hemi forum. There are several guys posting there who have swap experience with the new hemi.

Thanks for the encouragement , i hope i link on to some guy with an a body swap goin' on with same amount of experience you have with tho old Hemi's.
Hoping to start my project next winter if i can come across a 5.7 from the scrap guys.
I'll be glued to this site til then.

I purchased my hemi swap motor with the truck still attached. It was only $7500 for the whole thing. It was a 2004 1500 SLT with only 9500 miles on it. This gave me more parts to work with and less to buy seperatly. I even have spare parts to sell to offset the cost.

From what I've seen them going for on Ebay that is kind of high, unless it includes the tranny also, in which case it would be a pretty decent buy.
