am puting a 330 desoto in my hot rod and i wanna put a 12 pack on it. will 6 holley 94s be to much? and iam going to do some work on it to, looking for 350+. anyone got some ideas what to do to get 350hp the cheapest way? i appreciate all answers. / Tobias from Sweden

Like everyone has said - a single 600 or so cfm
4 bbl. is the way to go. However, that being said,
if you absolutely have your heart set on 6 2bbls-
you probably could run the 6 carb set-up, but only
actually use one center carb on each bank and
blank off the two end carbs on each bank. If
you used 'large bore' 2GC Rochester 2bbl carbs,
as used on mid-to-late '60's Old, Buicks, Pontiacs
etc.- two of them would flow about 600 to 660 or
so cfm. Note that 2GC Rochesters came in two sizes
- a small version used on 283, 307 and 327
small block Chevs - and the larger version used on
the bigger 350 and 400 small block Chevs and on
the larger Olds, Buick and Pontiacs V8s. 2GC
Rochesters are still common as dirt in most bone
yards - and usually priced just about the same too.
