392 Hemi

Newby here, bought my first hopped up Hemi. Serial number shows it to be a '58 Imperial engine. Has had some work done to it and sounds pretty mean. Have some things to work out on it though. First off, this has what appears to be a center sump oil pan. How much oil shoould it hold with a remote oil filter? The dipstick that's in it is some off the shelf chrome setup that wouldn't fit until I cut some off the end. I basically drained the oil and refilled with 5 quarts then took a reading and marked the stick. After cranking it up the level dropped about a 1/4" on the stick. Was I right in my 5 quart capacity guess?
