70 hemi special edition....
Ok... I am wondering what the special race edition hemi was in that year.... When my dad was about 16 he traded his 57 Bel Air convertible gold edition for the racing edition hemi in 1970, and he cannot remember what it was... He tells me it had an aluminum dash and alot of other stuff.. I am wondering what this model was called thank you
Perhaps it was a 1970 Challenger RT/SE with 426 Hemi?
The SE, obviously, meant "Special Edition" and was built
in more limited numbers compared with normal hardtops.

Special edition hemi?
After the 1968 model year, there were only street hemi's. If your dad got a car with and aluminum dash, it was not factory, if he got a race hemi in 70, maybe it wasn't a 70 model, or it was done after it left the factory.
