Power Steering

I own a 2003 1/2 ton qc hemi. I noticed about a week ago my steering was making a noise. I checked the fluid in it and it was almost bone dry. So i put it up on the lift and got to looking i could see fluid all over the bottom of my truck but couldnt see were it was coming from. Took it to the dealer and they had to replace the pump, the resevoir and both the feed and return lines to the steering box! just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if i am just very unlucky!
