All you Hemi Ram owners, what are your times?
I know a bunch of you must have tried 'em out!

The best that I have heard from friends has been
a 14.72 @ 98 from a Ram 1500 w/ 3.92 rear cogs.
Short bed and I am assuming a regular cab truck.

That info you have is correct. And yes my truck is a standard cab. Those
times I ran are on a STOCK truck. I am going to install a cold air intake
and run it again. I will post the new times.

I have a QUADCAB 1500, 3.92:1 gears, 5.7L HEMI, 275/55R20 tires (31" tall) best time = 15.47 @ 82 MPH

I have 4.56:1 gears on the way........

Yeah, I have been reading 15.3s to 15.4s for QCs.
That is still pretty quick for such a heavy truck! :)

2003 Ram 1500 Hemi RC with 3.92 gears
14.80 @ 91 mph with a 2.09 60-foot time
(This beast weighed 4850# w/ the driver)

4.56:1 Richmond gears!

Got them in the truck today! The truck feels more ALIVE......

Things to know:
Vehicle speed is obtained from wheel speed, NOT transmission output shaft speed. No modification needed for your speedometer!

The carrier pinion shaft needs to be modified for ring gear clearance to install it.

3.91:1 - 31 in tire @ 70 mph = 2000 rpm aprox.

4.56:1 - 31 in tire @ 70 mph = 2400 rpm aprox.

Can't wait to get to the track!

Let us know how the gears work out at the track.

BTW, does the trans shift on an input from engine RPM, or based on speedometer like the GM OBDI PCM?

I'm surprised how fast these new Hemi trucks are. They seem to be on par with an R/T Dakota, or..? Pretty impressive!

OOOPS I forgot!

When I went to the track, and ran a 14.72....... The best time out of the chevy trucks was a 16.52! hehehe!

Remember......

As per Truck Trend Magazine, a 1500 Hemi 2wd with 20"wheels and 3.92 gets 15.12@89.06.

This is absolutely hilarious what people will try to pull out there A## on a forum.....A 13 with a longbed factory hemi.....oh wait ...mufflers...:) Come on now you have got to be joking if you think a 5000 lb longbed with under 300 rear wheel hp is going to run a 13 .... or even a low 14.... I have a best time of 14.2 with my Rumble bee with well over $3,000 in mods....and well under 4,300 pounds stripped down and empty....The quad cabs are also running a true 15.9-16.5 at the track depending on conditions.... I have seen it for my own eyes....If anyone would like a copy of this time slip email me.....For everyone else go tell your lies to someone who doesn't own a hemi. LOL

Rumblebee, you might have a timeslip, but if you go over to dtw you can actually see the 12.75 run of Hemi777. The only lol thing is that you wasted so much money on mods with no results. If you do not believe his times go watch the video, because you obviously do not know what people are running in their trucks. And there are also quad cabs running in the 13's.

My 2004 quad runs 15.375 first time I took it out with 87F and 81% humidity. That is without my tailgate but with the spare 20 still there. The rumble bee I ran with was 15.5.

I just thought i'd drop in on your forum and see what all the fuss is about. I own a 2002 Harley Davidson F150. I'm NOT here to flame your trucks! I just wanted to compare my performance to yours. It appears there is NO comparison. My truck weighs in at 5600#. Here is the slip #'s from my last trip to the dragstrip. I made 13 passes and they were all within .202 of each other. All on pump gas and street tires.

RT .325

60' 1.983

330' 5.687

1/8th ET 8.74

1/8 mph 80.51

I usually run at Breakaway in PC, Fl. or Dothan dragway in Cottonwood, Ala. Anyone here want to race? Just PM me and i'll meet you at either strip. My truck IS NOT all modded up. I have K&N, small pulley and tune. Anyone that don't believe me, come on down! I love the taste of Hemi's. :D (they taste like chicken)....hehehe (wink)

We took my supercharged "Judy Lilly Rumble Bee" to Monster Mopar Weekend. 12.65 @ 105.22. 5275lbs with street tires. Judy ran my truck during the exhibition events. It was 21 years since Miss Mighty Mopar herself, seen her last time slip. Judy and Arlen Vanke were pretty impressed with the performance of the new generation Hemi's.
