1956 300b 354 carbs

I have just recently purchased an almost finished restored 56 300b. It has the original intake and aircleaner but does not have correct carbs. Is there a modern carb like say an Edelbrock that will mount as duals on the original intake and use the Batwing aircleaner? I would like to find a pair of original carbs and restore them but that may take some doing and time

You can buy adaptors to fit Edelbrock carbs to the stock manifold...I don't think you'll have any clearance problems. Stock carbs occasionally show up for sale on this site and on eBay...keep checking. Good Luck.
