Stock rocker arms?

How much lift or spring pressure will a stock rocker arms take/handle? Anybody no? Thanks.

Thanks, sorry it took so long to get back. Ya, I heard or read somewhere that the stock rockers wouldn't take much more over .500 lift. Is there people here that are running more than this with a stock rocker? Thanks for your time.

I think you are right on that .500 lift, but Gary Patrick can give you the straight skinny.

Really I would think that really comes down to the spring pressure. I would think that it would be cool to run a new Comp cams F.R.L. cams. Which would have serious spring pressures. Cause even if I was run a small one, say under .500 lift it would still need a serious set of springs. Like my newest cam in my 346. It has 368 pounds open with 125 at the seat. The 368 is a lot for a flat tappet hydrualic. What do you guys think on this. Will a stock rocker take that kind of open pressure?
