oil lines on a 392

on a 392 i am putting a remote oil filter on the engine ,i need to confirm that the outlet oil hole
(oil pumped out of block) is the bottom hole on block and return line is the top hole , is this correct

1 fill engine with oil
2 crawl under the car where you can see the adapter
3 let yout 10 year old son start the engine and shut of after 10 sec
4 clean up the spilled oil
thats the way to be sure what line is the feed line

i found out , oil pumps out of the bottom hole and goes back into block via the top hole
