oil diverter

Post by challengerman »

Hello Hemi board, somethings been troubling me. I can't help but wonder if the original style oil relief would be the better oiling set-up. Considering how much engine wear occurs at each cold startup and the kinks that oil must go through due to remote filter locations and such. Wouldn't it be more important to make sure you get oil in a cold engine? If that's true, are any stock parts available? Hope to hear some opinions / thanks

If you are refering to the pressure relief/drainback assy. that goes under the rear main cap, I don't like/use them. I much prefer the passage separator so that all the oil goes through the filter. They are available from Hot Hemi Heads. For a low dollar way, drive a small cup plug down the passage till it separates the two oil galerys, total cost...about 25 cents and does the same job.
