Bronze oil pump gear

Post by DHEMI »

Hi guys!I've got a steel billet cam that I'm going to use in a street driven engine.Normally a bronze gear is required, but due to the wear factor I was wondering if the stock gear can be given an anti-friction coating to make it compatable with the steel billet cam?Has anyone done this? Thanks for your input.

Up on webrodder Doc Fromader had the drive gear section cut off, & one from a normal cam welded on. See his 315 build.
