water crossover

Post by hemi4t »

I have the cast water crossover that points the water outlet straight out and this puts the radiator hose below my fan belt since the alt is mounted upper left driver side. The problem is there is only 3/8 to 1/2 inch clearence between the fan belt and the radiator hose and there is some wear on the hose from belt deflection when running. I looked for a different water crossover to orient the thermostat housing up but have not been able to find one any sources of these out there?

Have you looked at the crossovers @ Hot heads? I' m thinking the thermostat housings for Dodge & DeSoto point off to the sides instead of strait forward.

I looked at hotheads there crossover (the one with the braided hose) is on the drivers side right where my alternator is. I believe the stock crossover points the hose outlet up but I'm not sure. I think PAW had one but there web site is being updated.[/img]
