SB Mopar timing covers

Post by Moparlee »

How many people have put the SM mopar timing covers on their early Hemis?

Add me to the list. Actually one of the 392's that I got in a barn buy had it done already. It wasn't pretty, but did work fine. An aluminum pipe plug instead of the freeze plug and some cleaner drilling would have made it look better naked.

The buyer didn't take it, just the rear cap.

There is a guy name Brian that's be doing it for awhile now. I think it would be cool if you could figure out how to do it correctly or should I say nicely. The 354 truck blocks would be easier I would think. Brian has beed doing them to all early Hemis for awhile.

The truck block holes are too close together and would require welding the cover, at least on mine.

TRwater sell a reworked timing cover already for it I do believe for the truck motors. So you think it would be easier for a 392 or car motor?
