Picture/Info request for extended bellhousing motors...

Post by Johnny Cliche »

I'm looking for reference pictures and information for early 331 extended bellhousing blocks with a manual transmission and manual clutch setup...I'd like to know what modifications are needed to put an A833 behind my hemi with any of the adapter plates on the market (HHH, Wilcap, PAW, etc.)...specifically I'm looking for answers as to where the clutch fork mounts and goes through the bellhousing and if any cutting has to be done to the bellhousing to make things fit...

I'm using a Wilcap adapter between my extended bell 331 and a A833 OD transmission. I chose a hydraulic clutch assembly. It slips over the input shaft and retainer eliminating the traditional fork assembly. Your braided lines exit the bell and go directly to your clutch "master" cylinder.

Cheers, Mark
