Does this head have the same port configuration as the 555 head? If not are they close? I am considering a alternative upgrade for my blown street/strip 392!

I am under the impression the only difference might be the fact the 555 331 heads have 100 cc chambers and the 354 heads will have 105cc chambers. I think the 392 heads have 110ccs. I have never measured any of them but that is what I read somewhere. My two cents.

The 54 55 56 heads have simular ports. The water jackets were moved up in 55 and more in 56 allowing more materials to be removed for air flow.cylontymany wrote:Does this head have the same port configuration as the 555 head? The combustion chambers are the same size. The valves went from 1.94 to 2 inch on intakes and remained 1.75 on the exhaust. Truck and marine heads had hardned seats on the exhaust side along with sodium filled valve stems.
