Holley vacuum secondary float stuck?

Post by 65Valiant »

Hey there, I made a run and the car was running real rough, we then determined it was the secondary float due to all the gas being dumped into the secondaries, we then tapped in the secondary float bowl and it smoothed right out. Anyone ever have this happen? What would cause this and how can I prevent it from happening again? Thanks Brian

Sounds like you have a little dirt under the needle that closes the fuel off when the float reaches its proper level. If you do not have a fuel filter in the line I would strongly suggest it. I would put it between the carb and the fuel pump. I would also put a filter in the line that is transparent so you can see if you are getting a lot of dirt or debris in your fuel line.
