hey there fellow hemi owners, i am new to your site fairly new to hemi,s as of a year ago ifound a 354 truck motor in a 58 d700 flatbed ive been having a interesting time rebuilding it to say the least, it didn,t need too much actually it had been previously rebuilt at one time but had been sitting about 20 years or so as close as all of us could figure so mostly neglected and dirty it already had 40 over pistons crank turned 10 good bearing clearances and so on but found a blown head gasket and acouple of dirty cylinders so took it all apart cleaned up the pistons replaced the rings gave it a nice hone ing new bearings gaskets trackrd down a 331 timing cover to replace that truck cover put on a 2 4 bb lweiand manifold still finishing up all the little things hope to have it running soon and sitting in my 31 5 window with a 727 behind it one of the biggest things ive noticed is that these engines arent really that popular and seems often ignored oh well it,s a HEMI : thanks hemidude 354 :

Car hemis are more popular than truck hemis. Built properly they are as reliablr as a 383 in a daily.
