Mike,

I didn't think the DC book covered the early Hemi's. Try the Tex Smith book, The Complete Hemi Manual.

Link on Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Chrysler ... =1-1-fkmr2

It should answer all your early Hemi needs, unless your needs are different - transmission ?

Also, try the following:

Hot Heads - http://www.hothemiheads.com/

T R Waters - http://home.together.net/~twaters/

PAW Early Hemi Engine Parts - http://www.earlyhemiengineparts.com/

Egge Machine - http://www.egge.com/

Put "Jalopy Journal" in google, then "Hokey A*s*s Message Board" when you get there, then put "Hemi tech index" in search, start reading! The current Mopar Performance Hemi book says..Everyone who knows anything about the early hemis are retired or dead! so the book reprints the shop manual for the 392.

I think the days of pensions are gone forever. For the folks on this forum that have one, count your lucky stars....
