Paul, check with Bob Walker at www.hothemiheads.com . If anyone is making adapters for the extended blocks he will either have them or know where you can get them. According to The Complete Chrysler Hemi Engine Manual by Ron Ceridono (highly recommended book if you're going to be working on early hemis) Wilcap, www.wilcap.com , was working on an adapter for the extended bellhousings. The manual also says Troy's Engine Manufacturing can cut the extension off and weld a new bellhousing flange on the block. If you want to get the manual, it's available at www.amazon.com . The contact info for Troy's is;

My advice would be to find another block. You will be farther ahead. At that point, you will have a choice of transmission options, not to mention lighter weight.

Wilcap has some for the long tail, hot heads too.

Anyone know if you can put these on a normal engine stand w/o breaking the block?
