With the V6, it puts down 283-hp and 260-tq. Not too shabby at all.Start with a standard fare 2012 Chrysler 200 sedan, give the Mopar crew free reign and what you end up with is the 200 Super S.
The Chrysler 200 Super S is chalked full of parts compliments of the Mopar parts bit, intended to show what can be done with factory-supplied parts – and will even be available later in 2012 straight from the factory.
“The Super S is Mopar’s interpretation of the Chrysler 200,” said Pietro Gorlier, president and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler’s service, parts and customer-care brand. “The extensive list of high-quality Mopar parts enhances the performance and appearance of our Chrysler 200.”
The Super S can be had in one of two flavors: Stage One or Stage Two. Let’s start with the lesser of the two creations – the Stage One.
The 200 Super S Stage One is all about appearance. Literally. This car differs from a standard 200 sedan due to a new large chin spoiler, satin chrome fog light trim, satin chrome grille surround and mesh in the upper and lower grilles as well as a gloss black finish for the upper grille with a recessed Chrysler wing badge.
Take a peak at the Super S Stage One from the side and feast your eyes on the new side sills, satin chrome belt molding, black chrome “200″ badges your choice of either grey or black 18-inc special “S” alloy wheels. Out back one will find a new trunk-mounted spoiler, satin chrome light bar and a matte black lower diffuser with two attached exhaust openings.
Not content with being all show and no go? Don’t fret, Mopar has you covered with the 200 Super S Stage Two, complete with a lower ride height thanks to a coil-over suspension, a cold-air intake and a cat-back exhaust system for added power and growl.
Look for these flashy new Mopar packaged sedans to arrive in Chrysler showrooms nationwide “later in 2012,” according to Chrysler.
