2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Teased With New Grille

Not long after offering the world a glimpse of the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, the American automaker has done exactly the same with the 2019 Charger SRT Hellcat.

The teaser in question reveals that the updated Charger Hellcat will benefit from a revised front grille with at least one large nostril to feed the powertrain with air. It appears as though the air intake will perform a similar function to the ram air intake found directly in the Challenger’s headlight.

Beyond this, little else is known about the new Charger SRT Hellcat.

Prototypes recently spied out and about have been free of camouflage at the rear end, indicating that Dodge’s designers and engineers have limited modifications to the sedan’s front fascia. Some refinements are expected throughout the interior, however.

Most importantly, the latest Charger Hellcat could actually become a little bit faster than the outgoing model. Sources indicate that like the 2019 Challenger Hellcat, the four-door’s 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 engine will be modified from 707 hp to roughly 725 hp. If true, that would edge the duo slightly closer to the 840 hp Demon and be more than enough to satisfy Dodge customers.

Dodge says that it will release more information about the 2019 Charger SRT Hellcat this summer.
This should be a good summer!

2019 Dodge Charger Hellcat Spied Testing for the First Time

This is the first time spy photographers have caught the facelifted Charger Hellcat, which will get a new grille, front fascia, and hood for the 2019 model year. Overall however, expect it to look fairly similar to the existing model, especially given that most of the camouflage is up front. There could also be some minor performance upgrades, but horsepower shouldn’t change since 707 is the number associated with Hellcat models.

Dodge will also likely give the facelifted Charger new driver assistance technologies in the name of enhancing safety.

The next-generation Dodge Charger isn’t due until 2021, and it will reportedly be based on the Alfa Romeo Giulia platform. Since the sedan’s replacement is still a couple years away, the facelift will keep it appealing. It should make its debut sometime later this year.
It's even in my favorite color. :)
