Anyone know about twin distributor drives for a hemi? HELP!

Post by Tweety »

I have a pair if twin plug heads and I need to hook up a pair of crank trigger distributors , now how is this done, I vaguely remeber seeing twin distributor set-ups from way back when!
I know the guys use twin magnetos now, but does anyone have any idea how I can do this for normal distributors.
It's an old KB Stage 10 block if that makes any difference?
Thanks
Andy

Same deal here!
I'm putting a blown Hemi together for street use, however my goal on this one is for it to look as close as possible to a top-fuel engine of the late 80's or early 90's.

I talked with Ronnie at Performance Ignition in LA. and it seems he knew exactly what needs to be done to accomplish my goal.
I'll probably get him to build my dual dist. when I'm ready for it, unless anyone else knows an easier (and cheaper) way to go.

His website is:

Change of plan, looks like I'm going to add a coil per plug and run the whole lot from the crank trigger and get rid of the distributors completely, I'll keep you posted as to how well it works out :o
